The M6 has been closed near Warrington after a multi-vehicle crash on Monday night.
National Highways said: "The M6 in Cheshire is closed northbound between J21 and J21A near Warrington due to a collision.
"At approx. 17:30 a collision involving 2 cars was reported to Cheshire police.
"Police, Fire, ambulance and National highways resources were dispatched to scene and are now in attendance.
"Delays are likely on approach to the closure and diversion routes."
