An incident close to a primary school has prompted the response of emergency services. Greater Manchester Police put a cordon in place on a street close to the Holy Trinity Primary School, Cecil Street, in Bury - with officers in the area.
Pupils were told to stay away on December 17, the MEN reports, and parents were reportedly told the school will remain closed this morning while officers deal with the incident. Details on the nature of the incident were not immediately clear, and it isn't yet known whether the school has been affected by the incident. It's understood police were in attendance in the area on Tuesday night.
