It has now been reported that O'Hara was forced to miss filming when her co-stars reunited for the Emmy-winning show in mid-January. According to sources, The Studio began filming earlier this month, and the Schitt's Creek icon was set to appear in some of the early scenes. However, she was absent after her plans were quietly changed due to "personal matters".

The production insider claimed: "She was scheduled to film, but they reworked the schedule to focus on scenes without her character. It was not widely known she was dealing with any health or major issues."

"I don’t believe she ever filmed anything for season two," the source claimed to The Sun.

O'Hara's unexpected death sent shockwaves across Hollywood as her celebrity pals and co-stars rushed to pay tribute, alongside millions of mourning fans.

In a joint statement, the cast and crew of The Studio shared: "Her death comes as a total shock to everyone on the show. She was the most beloved person on the set.

"This is a huge loss not just for The Studio, but for the world in general. She’s a legend."

In addition to creator Seth Rogan, O'Hara starred with Chase Sui Wonders, Ike Barinholtz, Kathryn Hahn, and many A-list guest stars, including Martin Scorsese, Bryan Cranston, and Zoe Kravitz.

In a separate statement, Rogan, who also served as the showrunner of The Studio, posted a heartbreaking tribute on Instagram hours after O'Hara's death.

"Really don’t know what to say," he posted, alongside a picture of the pair laughing together. "I told O’Hara when I first met her I thought she was the funniest person I’d ever had the pleasure of watching on screen.

"Home Alone was the movie that made me want to make movies. Getting to work with her was a true honour. She was hysterical, kind, intuitive, generous … she made me want to make our show good enough to be worthy of her presence in it.

"This is just devastating. We’re all lucky we got to live in a world with her in it."
