Actor Luis Brandoni, who most recently starred in the Disney+ series Nada (Nothing) opposite Robert De Niro, died on April 20 2026, just two days after his 86th birthday, having never left the hospital following a fall at his home. The incident forced the star to cancel his run in the play Quién es quién, and at the time, his family said: "Mr Luis Brandoni suffered a domestic accident last Saturday that caused him to fall, hitting his head and resulting in a subdural hematoma".

The news of his death was confirmed by his friend Carlos Rottemberg, who admitted the family had resigned themselves to this outcome following his accident.
