Rylan Clark has fired back at his co-star live on his BBC Radio 2 show after she labelled him "difficult". Well accustomed to playful banter, the broadcaster and Sally Boazman, known to listeners as Sally Traffic, engaged in a tongue-in-cheek spat ahead of her news segment.
Following a run of songs, the 37-year-old could be heard questioning: "What's your problem?", addressing his colleague in the studio. Sally responded: "I don't have a problem," to which he insisted her facial expression told a different story.
Seemingly referencing an earlier off-air chat with another team member, she remarked: "You were so rude about me to Ellie. I was so nice about you."
Firing back, Rylan retorted: "You wasn't, you liar, you said I was difficult." Standing by her remarks, Sally interjected: "I said, 'You could be difficult'."

The BBC host snapped back: "Well that's like saying, 'It could be you', it's not the lottery."
She countered: "Do you know what, the week I win the lottery, you'll never see me again," to which he quipped: "I'm praying for your numbers to come in, I tell you."
The presenter subsequently showed compassion for his colleague after she disclosed she had weathered "a difficult week" due to a foot injury picked up while out shopping.
Rylan's most recent broadcast follows his appearance on ITV's The Assembly, which features well-known personalities taking the spotlight to answer unfiltered questions from autistic and neurodivergent interviewers.
During the programme, Rylan was visibly taken aback when he was questioned about his infidelity during his marriage to Dan Neal.

One student put to him: "When you told your husband you cheated on him, he divorced you. Is honesty always the best policy?"
He responded with "oh wow" before adding: "Yeah, I think it is. I'm okay admitting I'm in the wrong, because actually I don't deal well with guilt and I don't deal well with secrets.
"It made me so ill, like so ill. It sounds a terrible thing to say, but I'm glad it happened."
Rylan was then pressed on what he misses most about Dan, to which he replied: "Do you know, I never think of him."
The former X Factor star and his ex-husband went their separate ways in 2021 following six years of marriage.
He has since moved on with fairground worker Kennedy Bates, whom he reportedly began dating last summer.
During a previous chat on his BBC Radio 2 show, Rylan disclosed that Sally was the first person to meet his new partner after the pair unexpectedly bumped into each other during their first date.
Sharing her initial impressions with listeners, she said: "[I thought] 'Well, he looks alright to me, yeah, you've got my approval'. He's a lovely man.
"He is a lovely man," Rylan echoed. "And I'm a very lucky man."
