Spotting a celebrity on the street can be a surreal moment.
We all know that celebrities are people – and they have to go out and buy their shopping and walk their dogs like the rest of us – but you never really expect to bump into one unless you live in areas where they're more likely to be seen, such as London.
So when one woman spotted Amanda Holden while she was out for a walk with her dog on the Isles of Scilly, she was absolutely gobsmacked - and instantly hatched a plan to try and get the TV megastar's attention.
Georgia May, who lives on the archipelago off the coast of Cornwall, shared a video on social media in which she showed off her genius plan to get the Britain's Got Talent judge to notice her without coming across as weird.
In her Instagram clip, Georgia was sitting on a bench overlooking the sea with her dog Maya when she spotted Amanda meeting a group of people off to one side.
Instead of walking over and slotting herself into the conversation when she wasn't invited, Georgia came up with a better plan - and sent her dog over.
The hilarious video shows Georgia encouraging Maya to run over to the group of people, some of whom also had dogs of their own.
That way, she could collect her and then naturally meet Amanda in the process.
Good girl Maya definitely understood what she needed to do, because she ran off directly to Amanda herself, who was more than happy to greet the dog and give her a scratch behind the ear.
Amanda could be heard in the clip saying: "Oh, who is this one?"
The video ended before Georgia went over to meet Amanda, but she did later share a picture of herself with the TV star.
She captioned that image: "What a fab day yesterday. Pimped out Maya to say hi to Amanda (see previous reel), legend dog. Amanda - what a lush lady. Truly so lovely."
It wasn't just Amanda who visited the Isles of Scilly last week either, as Prince William, who also holds the title of the Duke of Cornwall, was there as part of a two-day visit to the South West.
Georgia managed to snap a picture of William, which she shared alongside her photo of herself with Amanda, but its unclear whether the Royal got the pleasure of meeting Maya.
Commenters on Georgia's Instagram posts were blown away by her interaction with Amanda, with many praising Maya for understanding the task at hand and being the "best dog ever".
One person said: "Maya didn't mess around, she knew the assignment!" Another added: "She understood the assignment totally!"
A third posted: "Brilliant, I knew Maya wouldn't let you down."
