Sir Keir Starmer's days in Number 10 may well be numbered, as US president Donald Trump has claimed the Labour leader 'will resign' and has 'failed badly'.
Andy Burnham's success in the Makerfield by-election and return to Westminster has mounted even more pressure on Starmer, who is widely expected to step aside and announce his resignation today.
It comes as Donald Trump has slammed Starmer for failing on "immigration and energy" - but passed on his well-wishes.
Reports are suggesting Sir Starmer will announce his plans to resign on Monday, June 22 - with an Autumn exit being mooted as a likely outcome.
He wrote on Truth Social: "Keir Starmer will resign as Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. He failed badly on two very important subjects- IMMIGRATION AND ENERGY (OPEN NORTH SEA OIL!). I wish him well! President DJT."
