A huge earthquake has hit in Venezuela, triggering a tsunami alert.
The 7.1 magnitude quake caused chaos in the capital of Caracas on Wednesday afternoon, as several shakes could be felt.
Items have been sprawled across resident's homes with one local stating that have "never felt anything so strong".
With a tsunami warning now in place, people located in threatened coastal areas have been warned to stay alert and follow instructions from national authorities.
The first wave is expected at roughly 10.30pm local time.
