A dad and bareknuckle boxer has died after he was rushed to hospital from a flight landing at Manchester Airport in a critical condition. Callum Kerr, from Warrington, had boarded Jet2 flight LS966 from Larnaca, Cyprus, with his girlfriend on June 21 when the incident unfolded.

Witnesses claimed the man, who was in his 30s, became disruptive during the journey after reportedly consuming a significant amount of alcohol before boarding the aircraft. Greater Manchester Police said officers were called after reports of an alleged assault on board the flight, with the passenger allegedly becoming aggressive towards another passenger and members of the cabin crew. When the aircraft landed at Manchester Airport in the early hours of June 22, officers boarded the plane and found Mr Kerr had been restrained by fellow passengers. Videos and photographs shared online showed police entering the aircraft before officers discovered Mr Kerr was no longer breathing.

Police immediately began CPR and called for a defibrillator before he was rushed to hospital after falling "critically ill".

Tributes have been shared on social media following his death.
