Meghan Markle is reportedly returning to the UK and will be joining her husband, Prince Harry, who will attend a one-year countdown event to Invictus 2027 in Birmingham. It is rumoured that the couple will also take their son, Prince Archie, seven, and daughter, Princess Lilibet, five, on the trip.

Royal commentators have shared their thoughts about Meghan's potential visit next month, and it's clear the Duchess will need to do one thing to avoid herself being the target of any backlash. When she visited Australia in April, she utilised her time Down Under to make guest appearance on MasterChef Australia, give talks at a women's wellness retreat, and flogging clothes on affiliate marketing platform. She received backlash when the outfit she wore to visit Bondi beach was uploaded to the fashion platform immediately after meeting the lifeguards and victims linked to the deadly December 14 attack.

Earlier this year, Meghan's lifestyle brand, As Ever, suffered a temporary flaw that revealed the number of unsold stock accumulated in the warehouse. TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan mentioned on The Royals Uncensored podcast: "The As Ever brand is struggling, that jam or spread or whatever you want to call it, ain't selling."

It is clear that Meghan does not have a lot of support from the British public, and the lack of popularity in the UK was one of the reasons why she decided to move to Montecito. If she starts selling jams or As Ever merchandise during her visit, her popularity would plummet.

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield shared on TalkTV: "If she does show, it tells us how dire her professional and financial situation is that she's having to eat crow to this extent to get on an airplane and go to some place that she claims treated her horribly."

She added: "The fact that Meghan is willing to throw her Louis Vuitton on a jet and head to over to the UK tells me that this is an admission of defeat that she is struggling so much professionally."

Ingrid Steward, told The Mirror that Meghan "really needs a bit of royal stardust sprinkled on her and her business if she wants it to succeed."

Royal fans will be watching closely, if and when, Meghan touches down in the UK, and given the PR stunt failure she had in Australia, she has to be remember that the tour is not about herself, but to support Harry's Invictus countdown event.
