A beloved actor has died at the age of 62 after drowning in a river during a fishing trip with his teenage son. Alexander Vysokovskiy was a Russian actor best known for his roles in series like Boomer and Brigada. His death has been confirmed to Msk1.ru, which reported that his body was found by divers after disappearing while fishing in the Oka River.

At the time, Alexander was fishing with his 17-year-old son in the Moscow region when he went missing. The news outlet reports: “His son waited for him, looked for him, and then went home. His family raised the alarm, and the actor's wife reported him missing.” His family publicly pleaded for any local fishermen to help search for the star.

A social media post from his wife Liliya begged: “Urgent! We need help from fishermen with boats and echo sounders in Pushchino! On June 30, my husband, Alexander Vysokovsky, disappeared on the Oka River near the Pushchino Spit (near the rapids).

“He continued along the spit and never returned. The current is very strong. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and LizaAlert are not searching the water; they have no funds.

“I'm asking for help from anyone with motorboats and good structural echo sounders (side-scanning). I need to navigate the riverbed and shoreline downstream from the rapids, past the boat launch, and further downstream.

“I’ll cover all gas and time. If you're on the river, planning a trip, or can help, please contact me 24/7.”

The tragedy is currently being investigated by law enforcement, with officers confirming Alexander’s body was found and “investigators from the Moscow Region Investigative Committee are working at the scene”.
