BBC presenter Natasha Raskin Sharp has become a recognisable figure on television since 2014, featuring on numerous popular programmes including Bargain Hunt, Flog It!, Antiques Road Trip and Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. Based in Scotland with her husband and daughter, she tends to maintain a discreet approach to her personal life.

Born in Glasgow in 1986, Natasha initially pursued law at the University of Leeds. However, she quickly discovered it wasn't the right path and instead channelled her artistic abilities into studying history of art at the University of Glasgow. Following her degree, the Scottish art lover explored various different career paths, including a stint in the fashion industry during a placement with the Alice Temperley fashion house in London.

Creativity clearly runs in the family, as Natasha's father is artist Philip Raskin, who specialised in landscape art, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The artist's works have been sold throughout the world and he is a famous figure in the contemporary Scottish art scene.

Another one of Natasha's claims to fame is that she contributed to Barack Obama's 2008 primary campaign in New Hampshire. She had the opportunity to meet Obama and reflected on the memorable encounter in an interview with the Sunday Post.

She said: "I was only there for three months, and he came to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, when I happened to be there. I was so lucky, if you think of the number of states in America, and the number of campaign offices across the whole country which Barack Obama would have visited during that campaign.

"He was asked to sign a letterheaded paper when he was there, and it happened to come through the printer with a very generic reference for me."

She subsequently joined McTear's auction house in Glasgow, where she specialised predominantly in contemporary Scottish art.

These days, the star juggles her television career alongside regular radio commitments. She hosts a music and entertainment programme on BBC Radio Scotland every Thursday from 10pm.

In 2013, Natasha met her future husband while filming Celebrity Antiques Road Trip. She went on to marry producer Joe Sharp in 2016, and the couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Jean, in 2024.

Natasha keeps her 39,000 Instagram followers regularly updated with glimpses into her everyday life. The family of three are based in Glasgow.

Over the Christmas period, the television presenter shared a heartwarming photograph of herself reading a bedtime story to Jean, captioning it: "Been having such a lovely time with Jean et al that I forgot to say...hope everyone's been having a merry old time!".

She also treated followers to a selection of behind-the-scenes snaps from her road trip alongside Antiques Road Trip co-star Philip Serrell. The antiques expert commented: "Hope you've been enjoying my @antiqueroadtrip with Phil - Jean was with us the whole time!"

Fans flooded the comments section upon discovering that baby Jean had been along for the ride. One remarked: "It's fab and Jean is a lucky mascot so far."

Another added: "Two of the loveliest experts you could ever meet xx" Viewers have expressed their admiration for Natasha and Phil's chemistry on the BBC programme.

Antiques Road Trip first aired on BBC One in 2010, and the roster of experts has steadily grown over the years. Natasha and Phil represent just two from the diverse lineup of specialists featured on the programme, which includes James Braxton, Izzie Balmer, Irita Marriott, David Harper, alongside recent additions Tahmina Ghaffar and Danny Sebastian.
