The Prince of Wales has issued a surprise message to the England team tonight after they won Wednesday's World Cup match against the Democratic Republic of Congo. Prince William, who did not attend the match in person, posted on social media: "Never in doubt (winky face emoji). Well done England! Onto the next" W."
Prince William is a big football fan, and is likely to have watched the match at home. He, like the rest of England, probably felt tense as he watched England 1-0 down at half-time. However, this soon turned around in the second half when Harry Kane scored not one, but two, goals.
It is not known if William will fly to America to watch any of the World Cup games in person.
He has always been a massive supporter of England in the World Cup and Euro tournaments.
He has been accompanied by his eldest son Prince George to many Aston Villa games.
England will next play against Mexico on Monday at 1am UK time.
It is not known whether William will stay up late to watch the game, like many across the UK are planning to do.
